Introduction

The Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO), under the Ministry of Defence, offers the Scheme of Internship of Students to DRDO Labs/Establishments for Project Training. This scheme aims to provide exposure to selected graduates and postgraduate students in Engineering and General Sciences to the contemporary R&D work of DRDO. Eligibility Criteria

Here’s the DRDO internship eligibility criteria:

  • Students must be pursuing undergraduate or postgraduate degrees in Engineering or General Science from a recognised Indian university or institute.
  • Students must have 75 per cent marks/a minimum 7.5 CGPA from AICTE or UGC-approved institutions.
  • Students must be a maximum of 28 years old. 
  • Students must have a recommendation letter from their institutions endorsing only their "highly deserving meritorious students.”

Note: Selected interns will have permitted access only to UNCLASSIFIED areas of the Labs/Establishments at DRDO.

Exclusions

  • The internship is not eligible under the provisions of the Apprentices Act, 1961.
  • DRDO is not to be held liable for any compensation for any personal injury due to an accident during the students’ association at the DRDO labs/establishments.
  • DRDO has no obligation to offer students employment upon completion of the training.

Benefit Disbursal
